For over 20 years I have worked with youth, adolescents, adults and families to achieve the life they want to live. I provide evidence-based psychotherapy, using techniques from Cognitive Behavioral, EMDR, and Dialectical Behavioral therapy to treat a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and others. I have received extensive training in family-centered therapeutic models, including Functional Family Therapy and Multi-Systemic Therapy, both of which research has shown to be highly effective in helping families when a youth is experiencing behavioral challenges, such as arguing, defiance, anger, withdrawal, school refusal and substance use.
I received my Bachelors in Psychology from Tufts University and my Masters in Clinical Social Work from Boston University. I have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as a number of evidence-based therapy models, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Functional Family Therapy, Multi-Systemic Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I have been licensed in the state of California through the Board of Behavioral Sciences since 2003. Lic#: LCS21473.
Previously, I have worked with several non-profit organizations serving youth, adults and families in a variety of settings, including out-patient and residential.
