Raising a child can be one of the most rewarding experiences in life.  It can also be fraught with challenges along the way that can leave you feeling worried, scared or frustrated.  Perhaps your family is experiencing a high level of conflict or you are concerned by how emotionally distant you have become from one another.  Perhaps your tween or teen is experiencing behavioral concerns such as substance use, arguing, defying rules, missing school or other activities that they once enjoyed.   Parents and children may attend therapy sessions together, as therapy can be a safe space in which to address the thoughts, feelings, and emotions experienced by all members. I have extensive training and experience in working with families to navigate their challenges, improve communication and strengthen bonds.

EMDR is a research-supported therapy that helps people process distressing memories and experiences so they no longer feel overwhelming in the present. It supports healing by allowing the brain to reorganize how memories are stored, reducing emotional distress and increasing a sense of clarity and control.
